  49. If NewTek says they'll work, they will, and if they don't it's their 
  50. fault and they'll fix it. We bought our drives from our dealer along with 
  51. the whole flyer system. The drives came through NewTek and we've never 
  52. had a problem with them. For a better price on the drives, you could ask 
  53. for the model number of the drive your dealer is selling, then buy it 
  54. through a cheaper source. It should work, but if it doesn't, you don't 
  55. have NewTek to fall back on.

  61. Yes you can. Anims (med res previews) that you used to render to a system 
  62. drive then play back through the switcher can now be saved to a flyer 
  63. drive as a full 24bit anim, and played off the drive in real time. It's

  71. It depends on what you have. Because of the way the drives hook up to the 
  72. flyer board, it would be best to have them external. We got a nice little 
  73. two drive case for ours. It's the same one that the NewTek guy had when 
  74. he was touring the country showing the Flyer. You could also put the 
  75. drives in an old a2000 case or PC or something.

  77. If you put them internal, first of all you would have these huge SCSI 
  78. cables running out of the back of the computer from the Flyer card, then 
  79. back into the computer to the drives. Go external.

  81. We have two system drives, (1 IDE, 1 SCSI) one 3.5 floppy drive, CDRom, 
  82. and the dedicated audio drive (mounted below the floppy). Plus we have 
  83. the Toaster card, Flyer card and Kitchen Sync cards filling all of our 
  84. board space. We are full! Oh yea. It's a 4000. That should give you an 
  85. idea of what you can put in there.

  102. Extremely crucial. Just watch this list for questions about why their 
  103. Flyer won't work. It's really easy to get one little thing messed up so 
  104. the whole thing flops. Getting the system and the Flyer to recognize the 
  105. drives seems to be the hard part.
